Core Caregiving Skills: This course gives an overview of the most common skills needed in caregiving, frameworks for care, and tools for future learning.
Emergency Preparedness 101 for Caregivers: Preparing caregivers to support consumers in developing a disaster preparedness plan and securing resources to increase resilience to disasters.
Person-Centered Care: The Art and Science of Effective Caregiving. This course teaches a blend of scientific principles and interpersonal skills for providing compassionate, personalized care in home-based settings.
Disability Justice: Explore the essence of Disability Rights and Justice in this course led by the Center for Independent Living in Berkeley, the birthplace of the independent living movement. This course empowers caregivers to embrace compassion, activism, and solidarity in fostering an inclusive and just society for people with disabilities and all who love them.
Supervisit: 1:1 Caregiver Support: A specialized course providing one-on-one mentorship, guidance, and skills development for caregivers to enhance their caregiving strategies and patient interactions.
Technology Consultations for Caregivers: This course empowers caregivers to expand their confidence with technology through personalized sessions with an Assistive Technology Specialist. It explores tools that enhance daily life accessibility for care recipients. Assistive technology includes devices, tools, and software designed to support individuals with disabilities. Receive tailored guidance, goal-setting, technology demos, and YouTube tutorial references, fostering confidence in utilizing tech solutions to improve quality of life.
